How long will it take for my project to be completed?

The timeline of the project is often dictated by the client. We will work with you to set realistic deadlines at the beginning of the process. If you have a deadline that you are trying to reach we will take every effort to meet if for you. However the most common delay in the creation and completion for any project is gathering content (text/images) from our clients. If all is prepared smoothly a small – medium sized website will take 4-6 weeks from the date of approval and a medium – large site will take between 8-16 weeks. Again the efficiency of a project and meeting deadlines is dictated by quick feedback from the client and open communications throughout the process.

Will we need to have a face-to-face meeting to begin the project?

Although a face-to-face meeting isn’t a must it is preferred. We would like the opportunity to sit down with you and get to know more about your company, your customers and what the ultimate goal is and needs are for your website. This will help us get a better idea of how the website should flow, what type of call to action is appropriate and who are end result user is. We also want to be of service to you if you need help creating content or are not sure what direction your content flow should go in. However if you are under a deadline we can move forward without a meeting and as the project progresses most of our communications will be done through email and Basecamp and a phone meeting will be arranged.

What services do you provide?

We offer full website services including design and programming for almost any kind of platform. We also offer online/social media and print marketing services as well as print design services. We can facilitate hosting, bulk mailings and printing with trusted companies who we’ve had long relationships with.

How should I supply content for my website?

All content (text, logos and photos) should be provided in electronic form and uploaded to your Basecamp Project area. Text files should be written and sent using Microsoft Word format. If possible logos should be submitted in Vector format (EPS or AI), if this is not available a JPEG or PNG file is acceptable. Photos should be sent in high resolution JPEG format. No content should be taken from another website or images taken off image searches. All submitted content you should be original content or that you have authorization to use. When needed Stock photography can be purchased and used, unless included in the project this is at an additional cost.

Will my website be search engine friendly?

All our website projects are designed and created with search engines in mind. In addition the website design is compliant with search engine guidelines. It is important to consider having your website optimized for text content either during the website process or once the site is complete. It is a good idea for your website to be re-evaluated in time as over a period of time the search engines do alter their rules and algorithms and you will want to be certain that your website is kept up to date and complies with new rules etc. To improve visibility on your website by the search engines, we do recommend utilizing our SEO services.

Will I be able to update my own website?

Depending on your functionality needs and your budget restrictions this will decide what type of content management system (CMS) is added to your website. However all of our websites are built with a CMS for main content to be editable. If customization is needed where you want more control we can certainly scope that out in the planning/proposal phase.

Will my website be responsive and mobile-ready?

All websites are built depending on your needs, but in general, almost all of our websites are fully-responsive.

Is there any training provided for the use of the CMS such as WordPress or Magento?

The Content Management Systems are in general very easy to use and offer explanatory notes where needed. At the end of the project we will sit down with you and go over the functionality of the backend stepping you through it. However we realize that it takes time to get used to and we are available to answer any inquires you may have in the future and offer full support for one year after your site is complete.

Do you provide hosting?

Vertical Insite does not provide hosting directly but I work closely with a very reputable hosting provider and would be happy to set you up with their services.

We do not provide email directly but are happy to help you get set up with Google Apps for Work or through our hosting provider.

Although we don’t offer printing directly we will be happy to facilitate your printing with many reputable companies.
